If you were a student at Churchill College, this page is for you!   I'm the official alumni rep for the matriculation years 1990 - 1999, and it's my job to be a point of contact and also to help organise alumni events.

Churchill has a recently re-designed set of alumni webpages.   Go along and have a look!   Remember, you all have HIGH TABLE DINING RIGHTS, so you get four free college dinners on High Table every year.   This can be distributed however you like - you can go four times, or you can go once and take three guests, or any other combination you like.     E-mail the alumni office to tell them when you'd like to come to dine.

Fellow '97 Churchillians!

Once upon a time, ten years ago, lots of bright-eyed innocents arrived at Churchill College. What has happened to them since? Did they slay the evil monster of their degree and go on to even greater Herculean tasks? Did the wicked witch of London capture them and lock them up in a management consultancy firm forever? Did they ever have to kiss a frog? And are they living happily ever after?

I think that it's about time we found out.

The Great 1997 Churchill Reunion will be at college on SATURDAY the 22nd of SEPTEMBER, 2007.

The annual Alumni Association dinner is that night and it's a good time to get everyone together because:
1.   It's at the right time of year (any reunion dinner would have to be before the undergrads all come back in the first week of September, and I guess a lot of people will be on holiday in August).
2.  It's organised by college, and therefore accommodation on the night of the dinner is included in the price for dinner.    Also, it'll be a nice dinner.
3.  If we get most of our year there, we'll pretty much take it over and so it'll be like having our own dinner anyway.

PLEASE SIGN UP NOW!   To make a really big effort to get as many people there as possible, we need to have lots of names visibly on the attendance list as soon as possible.   Then, even more people will be encouraged to come.   To sign up, go to the college website and the alumni pages here.   Once there, you can sign up for the Alumni Association Dinner.

PLEASE get in touch with anyone you are still in contact with, and make sure that they know about it.   It'll help if I have their e-mail address, so if you can get them to e-mail me on H.Czerski.97 (at) cantab.net that would be great.    Let's get names on the list of attendees AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Since it's a general alumni dinner, it would also be fantastic if people from the years above and below came along as well - let's recreate the Churchill of a decade ago!    I've e-mailed those I'm still in contact with, but please pass the message on to anyone you think would be interested.   Husbands, wives, boyfriends and girlfriends are all very welcome, so bring them along too.

A question that you might ask:  Why can't we use our dining rights to pay for this dinner?
Firstly, this dinner will be much nicer than a general High Table dinner, and in any case there is a limited number of alumni that can sign up to any single High Table because of limited space at that table.     This is the only way that we can have a dinner at this time of year for which numbers are umlimited - conferences and other things take up all the other Saturdays.   Accommodation is included in the price, so actually it's a pretty good deal (wine is included too... no need to bring your own bottles any more).

If you've got any ideas about things to do in the afternoon before the dinner, please let me know.   We could perhaps gather in the afternoon to hang out somewhere, or just sit out on the grass around the Hepworth and do not-a-lot.   If you were a rower and fancy sitting in a boat again, there are already plans that morning for alumni to take a couple of boats out (these days, both the mens and womens first boats are bright pink and well worth an outing in!).   If you're keen to have a bit of a row or to cox (just a fun outing, nothing very serious), let me know.
