23rd January

Most of this month was taken up not working.   Since many might feel that taking photographs of bubbles isn't really work to start with, this might not come as a surprise.   However, January's non-work was even far more sedentary than being bubble paparazzi.    Luke drove across the US from San Diego to Washington DC to start a new postdoc job, and he took with him one very full trailer (containing all his stuff), several packets of peanuts, caffeine supplies, a fully loaded iPod, one dog and me.    Bum muscles took a bit of a beating, and 3000 miles, one bout of food poisoning, five days and lots of Texas later, we arrived at the Atlantic.
This was home for a week or two

Sisuuk had the whole of the back of the truck to herself
but she spent almost all her time squashed up against the window with her nose poking out
There was some scenery along the way
And Sisuuk got to sniff around in the snow while we were in Maryland, visiting Luke's family.   This made her very happy.   Sniff sniff wag sniff...
the view from my seat...
Texas is far too large and flat and empty
The snow was fun!
