An afternoon of Ocean Exploration kicks off with a talk by Helen on Blue Machine – How the Ocean Shapes our World. After her talk, Helen is joined by other ocean scientists for a lively, interactive debate with a difference. Our team will set off on a research trip, but there is a problem: their ship is sinking! The scientist's job is to convince you why their research equipment should stay on board, and you decide what stays and goes! Can the team do the research you support without the ship sinking?
The afternoon will close with a screening of Ocean Odyssey in IMAX 3D. Follow a three-month-old baby whale on a magical journey down one of the Earth’s great ocean highways to discover the incredible world of ocean currents - hidden marine rivers that carry heat, nutrients and oxygen around the Earth.
Time: 12pm
Venue: IMAX at Glasgow Science Centre
